Mazda Canada and the USB fix

I really wish Mazda Canada would get it's act together regarding the USB fix for resume play (among other things). This fix has been out for over almost 2 months now....yet I keep getting the run-around here in Canada. I spoke to Hands Free NA and they tell me it's been slow getting the fix out in Canada. I tell them that there have been people posting in this forum from Montreal and Brampton who have this fix....so why can't I get it?? They gave me a reference#, tell me it should be available in a few days, but that was a few weeks ago. Their attitude was don't call us, we'll call you. I call my dealership, they run my VIN# and come up with nothing. Any other Canadians getting this kind of treatment??

Bon

Is it the Johnson Controls # that you called? 1-800-430-0153?
In my case they were very polite and helpful. Issued case# right away, after spending 2 mins listening to my problems. (I tried to recite from the TSB to ensure a close match in the reported symptoms.)

Then dealer ordered part right away, after recording my case#. Part arrived in 2 days, job done same week. Which dealer do you normally go (assuming Hands Free ever gets back to you.) BTW doesn't hurt call that 1-800# and forget the "ref #" they gave. Perhaps another operation has softer heart.

I haven't called anyone, because I don't have the time, but my dealer is telling me the same crap... not available in Canada yet despite getting a reference number from Mazda Handsfree for me. Waited so long for this fix... I am getting impatient knowing other folks have it.

Guys I got mine done over 2 weeks ago from 401 Dixie Mazda in Mississauga. The parts guy was extremely helpful and he ordered the part. Once it came in then the appointment was booked and the part replaced. All in 1 weeks time.

I am not sure why other dealerships are not cooperating or willing to dig deeper to help the customers.

See my note in the Resuming thread. Print out the SB and take it with you and call the Hands Free line from the dealership. Takes 20 minutes to install. Took 5 days to get the part, but I am guessing that is because they reburn the old units.

My dealer didnt knew about the fix. I told them the tsb and they orderd a new bluetooth module. They werent sure if it will fix the play resume issue. Then i talked to mazda hands free and the lady over there was very helpful, she made a call to the dealer while i was still there and confirmed the part number and they assured me that this fix will work for usb resume issue. Got it replaced it few days and it worked as promised. My dealer was regina mazda and was very helpful

Bon & kmabee, besides 401 Dixie Mazda that hersh mentioned, Agincourt Mazda (Finch Ave & Markham Rd) is also super helpful. Together with the courteous service of Hands Free (not sure if that depends on the service specialist who picks up your call), the end to end experience was great! Also I am lucky to have a replacement unit that is not "reprogrammed" (see other threads that talk about old version number & date on the replacement unit). ok maybe it's just a new printed label that I'm getting :)
