is the ecu gonna throw anything off due to the original manifold usings the VICS. would one figure that an aftermarket pcm should/recommended be used?

as long as the electrical connectors are plugged in no cel :)

Ya, sorry about the gasket. I took the pictures before taking it off. I will post more pics once I get it off.

As far as the VICS and VTCS removal. As long as the solenoids remain hooked up, there is no CEL. As of now, I have the stock manifold, ported and polished with the VTCS removed. The VTCS solenoid is still physically attached to the manifold, but it does nothing.

For the record I am staying out of this one, but I put them both side by side for those who want to see.

(lurk)

so let us suppose that what Cullen said was true, he is getting these from someone else, that means that Cullen just got screwed by this guy, thus Cullen should take his ass to court.

i proposed this to him a long time ago but he still denied it. I really dont know what is going on. I am curious to see a response.

Well, it depends on what the original vendor claimed about the manifolds. I am also curious about where the markup is happening. Is the vendor making a ton of money, or is Cullen making a ton of money?

Again, these questions only apply if the manifolds are indeed the same.

I believe Cullen got worked over some how and is now too deep to admit it. I would accept a "WHOOPS" by Cullen and drop the whole thing.

If he didn't have them yet then how did he do dyno testing. The pic on their site is the manifold he's selling.

I found one difference, but i dont know if this would cause the 626 mani not to work. Here it is, I circeled it on the 626 mani. The SU mani is different at that point.

uh.. thats the gasket...

Nope, it's not different, it's just covered up partly by the gasket in that picture. I've had my manifold off quite a number of times, and was kinda confused why they had any gasket material there at all, but that's all it is.

thanks for the clear up. I guess we just have to wait for the 626 mani to be installed on Sat, and see if it makes the same dyno results as the SU mani.

even if it is ported..i didnt knnow porting costs 500 bucks

if it is properly done (extrude hone, etc) by a machine shop, it can be very expensive
