Hi all, I'm new here. I just bought a used 2006 Mazda6 i sport 4 dr hatchback. It has 153,263 miles on it. The car drove fine and everything seemed great. One owner, clean carfax with documented maintenance receipts. I noticed a squealing noise coming from the car when I start it, it goes away after a while, but then comes back when I'm driving. The noise sounds like a whine, and it gets louder/lower with the rpm. When I'm in neutral, the noise stops. I also notice it when I'm in park, and revving up the engine.
Any idea what this could be? I've taken it to PepBoys and they have ruled out the pulleys.
Any help would be appreciated. This is my daily driver and I really need a working car to get to school.
