22% drivetrain loss isn't all that horrible for an auto tranny. Not good, but not horrible.
EXACTLY! Why put so much value in a number of hp that's stamped on a car? Just to brag that, "I got 15 more hp than you and your car"?Newf said:22% is actually quite normal. Look at the performance stats of the 6 vs the ACcord/Altima. It's right there with em.
not sure on the newer skylines but r32 's center diff will transfer from 5% up of power to the front wheels depending on traction. under normal driving condition a gtr is pretty much a rwd with power 95% rear and 5% front. so not much torque steer there....mcstark said:I agree about the torque steer...it scares the s*** outta ya until you get used to it. My father had a LeBaron GTS (2-liter turbo) and that thing sawwed away once you got on boost.
Kinda off-topic, but anyone aware of high-HP Skyline's having torque steer issues? Not sure how it splits the torque, but enough's gotta be going to the front end.
Exactly...Drive what you like. Enjoy it, If it feels great to you, good. The Numbers are not that important as long as your test drive before you buy it impresses you to the point that you decide that "this is my new car"nautec said:I don't know what you guys are talking about my 6 is a beast. Hauls ass and great handling. Can't help feeling like i need to rally down the roads.
