Mazda 6 issues...

I wouldn't say it is just with the 6s. Not all Protege5's suffered from it, and they all are identical. Not really sure what would cause it in some cars and not others...

So we have suffered the rotten egg smell for the last 1000 miles in a loaner and we have to put up with it again when we get ours? Great...

Usually that means one of the cylinders isn't firing so the gas is all muckin up in the cylinder....

Never heard that. I heard Mazda's official explanation was the catalytic converter... I am almost positive that was confirmed as such.

I've always heard that a bad cat spells like rotten eggs from the sulfur. I asked the dealer about it and he said it goes away, just like most here said...
The idiot dealer ordered us the wrong car. We ordered the Bose system and it just came with the regular one. They tried to cut us a check for the difference but we told them to either get us another car, install it in this one or the deal is off. For our trouble I am making them install the fog lights too.
Parts are on order...

Can you believe when we were working the deal we told them no more than $308 per month for our lease. They came back with a number of $575-$625 per month for 66 months and $1500 down with 12000 miles per year? After another hour we were down to $329 per month with $1500 down at 60 months with 15000 miles per year. They were trying to get a good bonus I guess.

I will NEVER lease another vehicle as long as I live. We have a 60 month lease on our 2001 Ford Escape. $449 per month with 15K miles. We will be well over that and we want to but it anyway....at least right now....it's gonna cost us $9100 at the end of the lease! Wish I could find a way to get out of it or get a loan on it.

We bought our 6 out-right with cash....we were fortunate we could.

We were able to get our mazda tribute for 308 per month on a 48 month lease with 15k a year. We traded it in after 30 months with 48k on it. Took a small beating...
