Mazda 3 cams

exactly. I think it has something to do with VVT but I am not too sure since cams isnt really something I have been looking at yet

yeah probably, I told him not to waste his money on that anyway and just save up for the hiboost which he is doing. lol

Something about our intake cams already moves 30 degrees or whatever I dont know much but i know that if you make the intake cam any bigger we will have problems because of the VVT. I would think that the performance exhaust cam from the focus would work but i dont really know how that would hold up having stock intake cam and aftermarket exhaust cam.....dont take my word for it but thats just my theory. I imagine someone on the forums knows.

that's pretty much right on.

we CAN change exhaust cams, Cosworth, Crane, Crower...they all have em. but the question is what would work best with the VVT? some would help before VVT kicks in i'd guess, some would be best suited for high end when they can scavange a bit more with more duration (or maybe lift?).

some have talked about locking the VVT control so you can change it (hellow CEL) and Microtech is coming out with an ecu that can take control of the VVT, so that might allow from some cam swaps if you can control VVT. there are 3 points essentially i understand, 0-15-30 as far as timing adjustments, so you don't have to worry about incriments in between....but dyno time would be a MUST to get the most out of it.

LUCKY FOR ME!!!! so since i dont have VVT on my 2.0L 16V i can use the cams right???
