Mazda2 Neo
Hi All,

I am a new member from the Gold Coast, on the east coast of Australia. I currently drive a 2004 Aus Spec Mazda 2 (I believe it is called a Demio over there? I may be wrong.)

Anyway, I am looking for ANY information on modifications for this car, because i know that you CRAZZYYY americans have pretty much done it all !!! :P

I am particularly looking for a turbo set-up that will bolt right on to my car, preferably involving a T28 BB turbo. Any done up Demio's in America?

I am lead to believe that the 2003 Demio holds the same engine as the Aus Spec 2004 Mazda 2, so if there are any kits available please help a man in need out. hehe.

If you can please post sites, but of course even saying there are some kits available would be great as i can then search for them myself. (So far i have searched far and wide and came back with nothing. :(

Modifications to be fitted in the near future are 17 inch ROH (an Australian wheel manufacturer) Shift-R's, 2 inch cat back exhaust system, Mazdaspeed 3-gauge set up that moulds directly to dash, green undercar neon kit, full interior retrim in white or cream, Mazdaspeed front grill, Super Low custom springs and Mazdaspeed Mazda2 Racing bucket seats...

I am leaving the engine stock until i can source a turbo set-up, then my main focus will be on engine modifications.

Sorry for the long post, but again any information would be helpful...

Congratulations on a wide and varied, informing mazda enthusiast community.

Unfortunately, the Mazda2 is not available in N. America (too small of a car for this market). The Demio is the name of the Mazda2 in Japan, and I would say to check out the Japanese sites as one source of mods.

It varies depending on the market, but believe it or not, the range includes every displacement from 1.2l to 1.6l. The Demio has two assembly locations (Spain for Europe and Japan everywhere else) and each uses different displacements to best fit their markets. The engine family is the same though. The Spanish-made Mazda2's can also come with a 1.4l diesel.
