I had 95 watters before but I would get this burnt plastic smell. So I dropped to 65 watters, but they're not as blue :(
What are your suggestions?

what make of bulbs? I'm interested because I got a set of 80/85w ones ordered. I got a great deal on them so if they don't work....ah wel.

Are they PIAA's? Eurolites?

Had similar melting wire problem on my bike. Put in the higher wattage bulbs and melted the connection to the wiring harness. Bad bad news. Might want to chek stock and look for something close. If what you want is a lot higher wattage, you may want to run new wire that can handle the draw.
Just a recommendation.

Does anyone know the answer to this out there?

How many of you are running higher then 55/60? I remember one guy saying he had 100+ in his car, now that's WAY to much. But how far can we stretch it before hurting the wires, and if the wires are burnt, how much does it cost to get them redone?

Just curious, before I go putting mine in.

im not sure but i think i have 100w in or maybe 90ws so far i have had no problems. In my old truck i had 100w and the stock one were 65w and also had no prob.??

What is the Stock wattage?....... Man I get flashed all the time with peeps thinkin I have the brights on.. I then flash my brights and thiers go off real quick... I have all stock bulbs.

stock are only 60/55. I think the fogs are the same.

You guys that are sayng you got 100's in. Is that the REAL wattage? or is that the "claimed output" by the manufacturer?

for example, mine are 85/80 Watt bulbs with a claimed output of 130/100. On the box they'll say 130/100, but in fact, if you read the fine print, they are only 85/80.

There's a big difference.
