Manual Trans on Touring Trim

Just got back from the dealer where i drove the only model they had which was a grand touring. They copied a the official spec sheet for me and sure enough, there will be a touring available with a mt. It does mention "Touring MT available starting with March 2013 production". So it will probably be May before we see them. I am interested in driving one since i love the looks but was very underwhelmed with the auto i drove today.

Very exciting indeed!! As they'll probably only roll the Skyactiv-Diesel out in higher trim level, this bodes well for anyone hoping for a 6MT Sky-D setup!

0-60mph on 6 speed manual transmission is 7.6 seconds as recorded by some car magazines that tested it. Mazda claimed 7.8 seconds but i'm not sure if that claim was for automatic or manual. Either way, that is pretty quick for a fuel efficient 4 cylinder large tech filled sedan.

There's a pearl white manual 2014 Mazda 6i Sport at Faulkner Mazda in the Philly area. Although I'm not in the market for a new car at all, I'm tempted to test it myself (I saw a couple automatics during an oil change at Pacifico but couldn't be interested simply because of the transmissions) but I would love to read what others think of the manual version.

After all the mentions in articles from the last few days of the Manual being available on the Touring trim, I'd say you can count on it!

It's not indicated as an option on the build a vehicle tool on Mazda USA's website... I still wouldn't be surprised if they were holding off for the diesel to drop to add that option, knowing that there's likely a huge intersection in the demographics interested in each
