its nice cuz u can turn it off with supplied toggle , mines hidden - for times when your in traffic or some one else is driving your ride. aprox 175$$

hey 505,
remember that letter that i was talking about few months ago?
the one that dealers got saying if the wastegate line is repplaced then it is a first sign that people have been using boost controllers. and they will deny you worranty just based on that one hose.
it has been done.

in your case u might not care as much about your worranty as others that are only looking at simple mods.

be carefull with what you repplace.

I remember that, and I also feel that is even more reason to do it the way I did. I took the entire piece off (all 3 lines and the T) without cutting any lines. If for some reason I did need to change back to stock (not likely anymore with the internals I am getting:)), I could put the entire assembly back on with no evidence that it was ever off. The guys that are cutting their wastegate hose do not have that luxory, as they have to replace the hose that goes from the T to the wastegate when they take off the MBC. If you take the entire thing off and make a new one, you can put the stocker back on when you need to. (drinks)

ahh, gotcha!
very good idea.......

usually what people do is they try to fit the stock hose on MBC....
it cracks and breaks.......
they then cut off a little bit and try again, and again it cracks and breaks.......
then they just take the whole mutilated hose off and replace it with a different one......
so now they dont have a luxury of going back :)

You could always say that the hose cracked by itself and that you replaced it because you had leak :) !!!!!!
(werd) My stock wastegate line cracked, and I spiked to 14psi. I've never had a boost controller on my car, and I don't plan on putting one on until my warranty is up.

I'd love to see somebody TRY to deny me a warranty claim because I replaced a faulty part with something that EXCEEDS OEM specs.

No doubt. On my MSP and others, the stock hose was a piece of s***. Whatever way you do it, it should be replaced EBC/MBC or no BC!

i JUST ordered myt MBC, could someone please post a link to that "how-to" that was mentioned earlier on how to remove the whole fixture so that it may be replaced later on, i would really like this since i might need to go back fopr warranty work some time, any help would be appreciated. thank you.

I use the turbo smart mbc. the only problem i see is its not very sensative you have to turn it about 7 times to get a good amount of boost out of it. But i like it easy to use and only cost about 80.00. But even with turning it all the way down i still get boost spike until about 9lbs. then drops off to 6lbs But i keep it right at 11psi and it will drop to about 9lbs and hold there so it does spike some.
