MAM turbo+mpi= kick ass MPG

Mallard, that is the best way to tell how much gas you have. Sorry, I assume a lot on the boards (not good). I get about 350 when my light comes on (65/35 hwy/cty). Micah, I forgot to put quotes around the "gas shortage". I can't remember if it was late 70s or early 80s but everyone was afraid of an oil crisis so everyone filled up their tanks and we created the shortage...

Fixed my sp. error too. :D

Whether people fill their tanks up when they're partially gone or completely empty doesn't change the rate at which they use gas, so I'm missing the logic in that statement. My experience with all the different cars I've had is that the gas gage will move at different rates at certain points in the tank. NOT because they want you to think you have more gas, but because the shape of the tank and the position of the sensor influences where the gage thinks the fuel level is.

After driving my Protege on long highway trips every week for a year I have become accustomed to how much gas is left at certain points on the gage, and made my estimate based on that.

I get about 250-300 miles out of a tank of gas the last time I checked (stock MSP). I can't wait to see what I get once I have Emanage in and lfixe the fuel delivery maps.

Addiing a piggy/ standalone..does not meant you will get better gas milage.

THe one thng i noticed. Is that the more mods you have..the worst the gas mileage gets.

Especially when you add extra injectors/inline/intake fuel pumps..etc.

If the tuning is good then you should be getting better mileage because it would be climate specific, no? The manufacturers are always conservative (rich) when it comes to tuning...as much as they can get away with and still meet emissions anyways.

i got 31 mpg on the haltech going down to fl. i was running about 15,0 afrs at cruise.
