no, he has the 6 puck, like I'm getting... because my smaller gt3071 I think I'll be fine with the 6-puck... I dont plan on going THAT crazy

I would get full face guys...I have a 6 puck myself...it's a bit harsh off the line.

what do you people do to waste your clutch so soon after installing a kit? ive had turbo'd protege5 for over a year, most of which at 8psi, sometimes at 10psi, and zero slippage.

Is your clutch still slipping, or did you store it for the winter?
The clutch is starting to slip when I boost HARD.

No, this is my daily driver, and I have no other vehicle in my stable at this time so I will be driving it all year long to prove the quality of the parts installed.

That depends alot on how much HP/TQ numbers are pushing and the usage. Like me, once it starts to slip there is no turning back.

First slipage you will not notice. I have a few videos around that shows slipage on the tracks @ only 7psi.

some people actually drive their cars... i remember before i went turbo, i was laying the smack down ony my car at least 2 times a day... it's like ... if i was in my car... i was rippin it... and everyone knew it.

and don't get me wrong... before going boost (the same day i parked my car to drop the turbo in) i was spinning tires as i cracked second... so it's not that the clutch went bad before the turbo... it's that the clutch can't hold the torque the turbo is making...

Mathew... go for a ride... get your car in fourth (about 3000 rpm) and step on it... watch it slip as the motor revs higher... you may not notice it in some cases... but in others its exreeme... i'll guarantee that if you've been boosting for so long and actually "driving your car" then your stock clutch will be slipping... lol... (also... you have an msp right? i'm not sure if mazda used different cltches, but i would assume they did)

i hate the fact that i can't really get on the throttle with my car... gotta wait till after the holidays to get the clutch... can't afford it now... (damn engagement rings are way too expensive!!!)

Well, I still can boost up to 10psi and im leaving it right there until forged stuff comes in.

I know for sure my clutch wont hold over 12psi.

mine started slipping a week after installing the turbo kit, i guess it just depends on the trq you are putting down...the stock clutch that is, once i put in the act no probs years after :D

no i have a p5. i just dont drive it like a retard on a daily basis. i have 22k miles and ZERO slippage. ZERO.

your lucky if it holds at 10psi for now... hehehe... it will eventually start slipping
I have ACT clutch kit, been holding good, but its dead now.

Stock clutch is good for 7psi but it will eventually slip.

I remember first time at the tracks, clutch slipped like hell. I still have the video around....you can clearly hear it slipping.

heh... i dont drive like a retard... i just like to drive... their are many of us on this forum like this...

my clutch slips... and it does this mostly on the bigger gears... but still slips... we are probably putting down about 200ft/lb (~8/9 psi???) of torque on a clutch that was probably only built to hold about 170 - 190 ft/lbs

if your not slipping matthew, then you've got "the mazda clutch from heaven". i want one of those...

maybe not pushing that much power!

Depending on the setup, because I was only pushing 181WTQ with 210whp @ 10psi
