Major "Injury" to my 3

Well last Sunday there was a huge windstorm (100km/h gusts), and I got a shopping cart into the drivers side door of my mint 3. The cart had a long way to go because I was parked all the way across the parking lot trying to avoid door dings. The end result was a small dent near the bottom of the door handle, a 4-6 inch long and 2 inch wide dent and scratch in the middle of the door, and a 2 inch long dent and scratch close to the rub strip on the door (F'in Walmart for not picking up their carts). Needless to say I was pissed right off. I took the car to a paintless dent removal place and they did a good job of getting the dents out and buffing the scratches away, but the cart made such a sharp edge along the center of the dents, that they could not remove it entirely. Essentially, it looks like someone keyed a 4 inch long scratch into my car and then used touch up paint. Has anyone had any work done at body shop yet, and could give me an idea of what it might cost to get sanded and filled. My friend barely noticed it, but I have to look at it every time I get into my car.

I had the driver's side rearview mirror cover repainted at a collision center. The thing looks like brand new and it only cost me $40 and it was done the same day.

I know the feeling when no one else can see a blemish, but being the owner, you know it's there.

as an owner, you no only know there there, you know they were there even after there fixed......the thought of it makes me sick (door ding: 8/21/04, driver front door)
