Magnets and Speakers....

I just finished placing the sirius antenna on the rear deck located between both speakers. However, I am not nervous that the magnet that holds the antenna in place, might interfere or affect the life and sound quality of the speakers. If this is place in the center, about 10inches or so away from either speaker, will it affect it.

Basically, does a magnet with new age speakers cause long-term issues.???

my mistake, i was lead to believe that there were two tweeters on the door, 2 speakers in the front doors, and 2 on the rear deck. I am assuming, the last 2 then are in the rear doors.? IF so, would it sound better if I install two speakers in the rear deck. Why are the speakers located in the rear doors? You would think that the sound get muffled by the foot area.

Alright, will this magnet affect the sub or amp??

Well I dunno, I kinda thought it was 6 speakers, 2 tweeters, and the sub/amp. I mean, there is grills, and even a Kenwood tag thingy on either side of the rear deck.

THe MSP has Kenwood excelon 6x8" coaxles in the front doors, OEM mazda tweeters by the mirrors and kenwood exceleon 6" coaxles in the rear doors. There are no rear deck speakers. The kenwood tags are there so they can be seen. There are grills there becuase a limited production car like the MSP is not unique neough to require a different rear deck cover to be built. It just wouldn't be profitable to do so. Thus the MSP's rear deck is the same peice as is found in any other 3rd generation protege sedan. The MP3 used rear deck Kenwood speakers so mazda had slapped the Kenwood tags over them. That simply carried over to the MSP even though the rear doors were used instead as the subwoofer enclosure wouldn't allow the kenwood 6x9s to fit in the rear deck.

I appreciate all the responses. I am sorry, but as you could see, I know very little to absolutely nothing regarding audio electronics. After reading my last sentence, I prolly come off as stupid. Ah whatever.
