MagnaFlo or Racing Beat

Okay, So I have my eye on two new catbacks; a MagnaFlo from the local lordco supplier for $392CAD or a Racing Beat from my local performance supplier for $580 -$600CAD. The Racing Beat price is what Racing Beat have on their website and I don't have a way to get it any lower, whereas the MagnaFlo price is reduced by almost $100 from $466. my instincts point me toward the cheaper MagnaFlo, but is Racing Beat worth that much more? If so, I'll totally go for it, but my kids gotta eat too.

I've had a Magnaflow exhaust for about a month now and it's ok...but they do have a lifetime warranty. It's just soo quiet!!

i seriously love the RB, with headers and my CAI it sounds so sweet. it has a nice little rumble to it, loud enough to be noticed but not obnoxious loud

I have a header and midpipe with highflow cat so it's kinda loud when i step on it but not annoying when I'm just cruisin

Nice price, I might do that....I also forgot to check the performance places in Victoria which is only a 2 hour drive away so shipping would even be nil on it I f I can find a place there that has a respectable price. One of my local shops here quoted me $1000+ to install and never mentioned even a brand name of any kind, though I know he didn't mean simply a custom system. Don't think I'll be goin back to him anytime soon which sucks cause I know his brother really really well and we're close.

The RB is worth the extra price, trust me! It looks like it belongs on the P5 and is not just tacked on, and it's exhaust note can't be beat. I had it on mine and LOVED it.

I was looking at both of them too. I went with RB because of all the rave I heard over it. It is a really good set-up and def gets the job done. I am sure magnaflow would be awesome 2, but you can't have them both. Or could you...

I have a RB exhaust system its nice, I don't even pay attn to the sound anymore, to busy listening to turbo spools and BOV's go off haha

the RB muffler is tuned specifically for our cars, to have a nice low tone with no droning. the magnaflow is just a universal muffler with custom bend pipes. the choice is obvious

I just drove a Protege w/ obx headers, hi-flow cat and the Racing Beat exhaust and it sounded really nice...now I need some headers. Maybe the Magnaflow would sound better w/o stock headers...I'm satisfied so far w/ the Magnaflow.
