took my off to clean it and noticed that it sits straight up and down but at an angle. should it be like this or just be straight up and down?

Has anyone taking this thing out? I was wonder how I could bypass it.

go stand alone, and you can do wahtever you want with it. (car won't run AT ALL without it)

I should be able to put some type of electrode or something at the end of the female end of the wire to MAF... just to bypass that. no? Then the car will still run. But w/o a MAF

um, no.

the ecu calculates how much fuel to squirt based on the air flow reading from the maf. without it, the car won't run.

I remember on my S-10 I had something like that. it actually plugged into the plug for the MAF. It was some cheap ass thing off ebay. but what it did was fool the ECU that the MAF was still active reading more air because of it being in the open.

I dono.

I did not know that...... Thought this was an S-10... damn....

Just wondering if it could be done the same way....
