MAF sensor or something else?

Hello all,

So the past few days I've been having a very rough idle, to the point that the car actually dies while in neutral at lights every now and then, and I am unable to get more than 5PSI of boost no matter what. There is a CEL on that (I forget the actual code) says the MAF voltage is high. I have already pulled the sensor and gave it a good cleaning, which did nothing to help my problem. I have inspected (and will do so more thoroughly) the wiring for the MAF and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Also probably worth noting is that I did leave my lights on the other day. I was able to get a jump and it ran fine for that one start-up, no CEL, boosted fine. After turning it off and starting it up the next day it started up fairly slow and the CEL came on (also my TCS light is on as well) which is when this whole problem started. I have tested the battery, and it tested as being fine, although it did have a slightly low charge of around 83%.

Not sure what else I should check, beyond just starting to replace parts. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

1) Where the wires leave the MAF sensor the conductor can be broken inside of the insulation which would not be visible when looking at them. Bend them slowly and look for a place where...instead of a smooth bend its a sharp break.

2) It couldn't hurt to do a hard reset...disconnect the battery and let the car sit for 15min then reconnect.

3) This could be related to the jump you received, may have damaged something.

4) If you have a short ram intake (or CAI) check to make sure your hose clamp isn't rubbing the wiring harness on the airbox.

5) If your battery is older than 4 yrs replace it.

Thanks for the reply.

To answer your questions:

1. I gave them a quick once over and didn't notice anything horribly wrong with them. I could have missed something though, so I am going to get that looked at again.

2. I've done a hard reset a few times now with no success.

3. Maybe...lol. I have checked all the fuses just to make sure I didn't pop one during the jump and they all seem fine.

4. I do, and have double checked that nothing is rubbing. It's been on there for a few years now and I've not noticed any spots that appear to rub anyway.

5. Replaced the battery the other day just for the hell of it (and I know its nearly impossible to troubleshoot around a bad battery).

I'm fairly stumped at this point so I'm taking it into the dealer later today and having them give it the old college try.
