MAF Relocation Help

Alright so I have started to do a FMIC install and need some help with the MAF relocation side of things. Currently I'm running an Injen CAI that I would like to run as a SRI. I think it will fit, but that means that I will be removing the second half of pipe that goes into the fender well. On that section there is an air sensor? or some sort of sensor. Where do I need to relocate that sensor to? On the turbo intake pipe or on the pipe leading to the throttle body? I have attached a picture to explain the sensor I am talking about.

That sensor by your index finger is IAT - intake air temp. Your computer will play with mixture depending on that temp. Colder temp=more fuel, richer mix. Hotter temp = less fuel, leaner mix. Mine is not turbo but mine is filter, IAT, MAF then TB.

Thanks bud.

Cole,
Let it hang in the air. It will have almost no affect on it's performance. There have been many arguments with me and another member stating that's its absolutely necessary and required and will cause all kinds of issues if it's not in the intake piping... Wrong. It makes no *real* difference.

Even better. That makes things easier. Thanks Chris. Btw, my "surging" problem I was having was a cracked stock intercooler- boost leak like you said. Thanks for that too. I love excuses to buy better performance parts. Haha.

No problem. If you ever need any help, feel free to FB message me.
