what exactly does the maf reloctaion do for the car whan you move it to the intake charge pipe from yhe cold air intake to the turbo nedd some help with this.

also does anybody have ant good sites for body kits on this car.

It only helps for the engine not too stall when you have an atmospheric blow off valve. By being close to the intake manifold, before the blow off valve, it will only read air that is going into the engine, thus not overloading it with excess fuel. Thats what causes the stalling when the MAF is not relocated, since the engine is expecting more air than what is actually getting.

It prevents stalling when you have an aftermarket BOV. Basically it makes it so the car meters the air after the bov so it gets a true reading of what is going to the engine. If you have the maf before the bov (and it vents to atmosphere) then it releases some of the air the car was expecting to get. Thus you get gas that has nothing to combust with and you get a bit of stalling.

doesn't it smooth out the drivability too?

Yes. I did this a while ago. The MSP seems to run very rich stock. By relocating to the pressure pipe it seems to lean out the car a bit. When you have the sensor on the intake the air flows alot slower. That is how it is set up to read. Now when you are on the charge pipe air is moving alot faster. From my understanding the faster air almost kinda sneaks by alittle more air than the mass air flow sensor can actually read. Therefore you have a tad bit more air/fuel which leans out the car. My hesitation is almost totally gone. The powerband seems alot more consant. I was really satisfied with this mod. Well worth it.(2thumbs)

Do you have to account for anything else? Or just simply replumb the MAF into the proper spot?

Does anybody have any pics of what that looks like all done up?

This is what mine looked like before I got the Microtech.

thanx. I almost made a mistake and got the BOV installed close to the throttle body... fieww.

Can I still run dual set up with the BPV?

theres really no need to run the dual setup with relocated maf, i dont think ive seen anyone with the maf relocated running the dual setup, i know when i do my fmic ill be relocating and ditching the CAI for a SRI with just a bov no bpv

So technically, i'd have to block off the holes on my hot pipe and injen intake if i'm not running the BPV....

But you're saying that I could still run the dual set up without any problems?

or you could just keep the dual setup and not relocate the maf...

Okay, so where would I gain more.. by relocating my MAF or running the dual set-up.

Hesitation wise, smoother powerband, richness???
