I Dont know if you guys remember but i asked your opinion way back on some M3 mirrors on e bay... well i got them and i got em painted and everything which i shouldnt have before i checked em out but yea dont buy em. Those things are worth s***. :wtf: :bs:  They look good but they suck. The mirrors are weird they seem to distort everything and one of the blue lights on one of the mirrors is out, the other mirror is loose b/c the clips on em are broke they dont come with the right screws even though they said they do. I dont know maybe i just got the short end of the stick but just wanted to let you guys know bout the hassle.

The guy said you could paint them, but I went to 4 body shops who wouldn't guarrantee the paintjob. I noticed that they don't send you the right hardware, but if you go to home depot and get some wood screws, they do the trick. I found out that no matter how you wire them, they're reverse of what needs to happen. This has something to do with the polarity of the motors. I may take the switch apart. However, I popped the mirror circuit breaker while working on it. Evidently there is a circuit breaker in addition to the fuse. Does anyone know where said circuit breaker might be?

Wish I could help you with that one man, But I wouldn't have the slightest clue. The place I got mine painted at did a really good job, he even told me that if for whatever reason they begin to chip that I could just bring them right on over and get em touched up or whatever. As for the screws yea I managed to get some to work for it, and if you manage to get them wired up right then let me know b/c I still haven't managed to wire mine up correctly they dont seem to light when i turn on my blinkers :(

is the ebay ones the 2 piece with the adaptor plate? if so.. those are s***.. i took mine to the street and beat them with a baseball bat after they didint fit. -=\
apc ones fit much better.. hit up protegegarage.com -=)

Mine are the two piece and they fit perfectly fine. There is no wiggle to them, just some wind noise. I bought mine from X3 Racing.com. But remember, we're talking about the power mirrors here. Last I saw, APC did not yet have power mirrors with the blinkers.

What do you mean tap into the side marker bulb for the blinker?

And yes it is the 2 peice one with the adaptor plate from e-bay, and yes those are s***. That whole beating it with a bat actually sounds like an intresting idea. But I'll probably just cell them to someone with a civic and say they're designed to fit the civic.

And thanks for the site guys, I'm going to check those out now!

thanks for the heads up. i was about to get some! if anyone has the APC ones, can you give a quick review or something?

To "tap" into the sidemarker bulb, all you need to do is fish the white wire down through the door panel and out through the rubber booty. Then use zip ties to secure the wire to the booty, and fish it through the small gap in the front quarter panel. Pull the sidemarker bulb assembly off, and strip the non-black wire. Splice your white wire into the non black wire. Don't forget to connect the black wire to a grounding point. I used one of the copper Hex bolts that's in the door.

the apc ones are manual.. but if your like me and no one drives your car but you.. you wont adust your mirrors very often.. besides.. doin it that way u get to deal with ken -=P
i bought the ebay ones for like 90 bucks.. power with turnsignals.. they were 2 piece.. a universal mirror with a protege specific adaptor plate..
the screws didnt work so it took me a week to get screws.. then one of the adaptor plates fit like s*** and stuck out a bunch on the side.. and when i finalyl got it on and wired one of the power mirrors didnt work.. useless piece of s***.. baseball bat justice was required. -=P

anyone tried the EREBUNI ones they got manual ones with no lights for $57.00 and manual with lights for $123.00

Yea they are, I got shammed. But besides that they look good on my car. But I still can't seem to get the damn lights on them working. But I think that's more along the lines that I have no idea how to hook 'em up.

As far as the wiring for the power mirrors. There's a way to reverse the polarity of the motors, but i don't know how to do that. You just have to remember that the switch works backwards. I had no problems with the adapter plate fitting incorrectly. I did however have to get some wood screws, i believe number 8 or 10 to screw the adapter into the door, but everything works fine now. The mirrors don't wobble at all. The only downside is the wind noise... rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
