Ok the M3 is governed at 114 right? well for "educational puposes" how would one......un-govern electronic governing? Pssttt. 2004 M3 2.3L 5D hatch.

when i had a 2004 mazda3 hatch i topped it out at 120. the car shut down fuel and slowed down to about 90 and then i gained control again..and of course i hit 120 again right after that lol(monkey)

its 118 actually it will just bump off of it last time i did it in my 04... only way (easiest) would be to get some sort of stand alone like a haltech or microtech.. to mess with the ecu and get at it that way i have nfc...

nfc?

Not to be offensive, but is being limited to 118 a big deal? How often are you driving that fast?

If you have a good reason for doing that, or just simply like fast cars then go for the speed3; you won't regret it.

find an ecu map and throw a switch on the governor wire and flip it when your gonna go fast you have about a half an hour then before it throws a engine code

Wow that sucks, don't they make a piggyback system or maybe a performance shop that could reflash your ecu. I would deal with the engine light if it meant getting rid of a 118mph limiter.
