Can anyone suggest an alternate, "nicer looking " solution for front plate mounts? That ugly black oem "rubber boot" is quite hideous & really mars the look of the front of the car. Was just wondering if anyone has found a better way to go.

It does look good mounted lower & I would think wouldn't interfere much with any air intake issues. I hate that the US car market has to kowtow to gov't standards for plate mounting , with more often than not look butt-ugly, versus Euro styles.
Such is the cost of freedom....heh
