M3 07 Integrated iPod

Picked up my Mazda 3 '07 (5 door, Touring Package) this weekend and I absolutely love the car. I opted for the integrated iPod feature they were offering, where I have an iPod dongle in compartment between the driver and passenger seat and I listen directly on the EX channel.

I'm having some difficulties figuring out exactly how it works and I'm lacking proper documentation at this point. It seems to be playing from the artist list, so when I hit the CD change button, it will either go to the next or previous artist. I can then change songs within the artist using the buttons on the steering wheel.

I've tried to get it to perform the same functionality with my playlists, but that just doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have any ideas as to how this might work or links to documentation? Any help would be appreciated.

Mazda should have given these to you with the adapter, but if you ask any of them they'll probably tell you they don't have anything for all that these are in their database.

Thanks for the guide spots. Definitely a huge help. I couldn't figure out how to listen to my playlists!

I forwarded it to my clueless salesperson, hopefully this will learn her some.

Before someone else comes along and freaks out.. remember, the "M3" is a BMW. We're on a mazda forum, so you can just call it the "3" and we'll know.. or the "Mz3" if you feel like putting forth some more effort hehe.
