Well,

It sounds like Mike has got the vinyls in the works. So, time to start working on the T-shirts that have been on the "to do" list for quite a while. lol.

We've had discussion on this in the past, but never really came to a resolution on it. So here are my thoughts on it. Post your own feed back so we can get something made that everyone will like.

Color: I'm thinking either white or gray. Ash has said that he can produce other colors for people who want them. For example I think Neal wanted brown. But, for the first batch I think we need to get everyone one of the same color for things like a club photo or what not. My personal vote would be for gray, but I'm down for whatever color everyone wants the most.

Design: We're gonna be going with the design Ash came up with. The "graffiti" one. You can find it in the forums, or my sig. I think Mike is going to make some of the "rotary" ones for the guys with the RX-7s and RX-8s. But, as far as the t-shirts go I think we're just gonna want to go with one logo.

I was also thinking it would be cool to get a good pic of a few of our cars. Say, a MSP, P5, RX-7, RX-8, and Miata or whatever and then have someone cell-shade the pic and use that for the back of the shirt with the logo above it or the cars overlayed on the logo. Then just have a small logo on the front of the shirt on the left or right side possibly with our name on the opposing side.

Obviously this will all depend on what Ash thinks is practical. But, I thought we should try to make the shirts a little more than just a plain T-shirt with our logo on the front.

Well those are my thoughts, let me hear yours. I want to get rolling on these this week. Ash, please post your thoughts on what will be possible or practical.

Thanks,

Lang

word. and as proof i'm not full of s***, my buddy emailed a pic of my car from last year . . . looks a little different now, and you can see why i need a front end . . .

chris

p.s. those rims are for sale. 5 lug, rx-7 bolt pattern. not sure if they will fit, but i'll drop em for cheap. it got black mesh works on them now . . .

What's up Guys.

I agree with Lang when he says that we should have one Base color shirt for everyone to have, so that it'll look good in photos, or club gatherings. And yeah, if anyone wants a different color shirt, or different color print, just get me the shirt, or what color you want when i go in and print the big batch.

As for my personal prefference on one color, i am more fond of the gray than the white.

And regarding the back of the shirts, If someone can do that idea with the cars, that'll be possible to print. I think that if you have the cars line up in like an arch, and put our logo, or a mazda logo, or anything underneath it, that'll look pretty tight.

For the front, did you guys just want the logo in the middle or the side? I think that it looks good both ways. But if it's in the middle, the logo will be a bit larger than if it were to be near the side by the pocket area. (don't worry, no pockets on the shirts) And the name you speak of, is that the name of the club, or individuals names? Because individual names would be a hassle. And if someone new joins, i would have to keep updating the screen.

And for a little extra spice, i'm gonna throw in a sleeve print. Nothing too exciting. Probably just "M-Spec" in a nice font or something. To make it stand out a bit more. I always like sleeve prints, so i'll throw that in the shirts as well.

Now for ordering, prices all vary. And i think it'll be too hard to talk about it on the forums. So i guess the next mini-meet or something, i can swing on by, and talk to everyone there about what they want.

If anyone else has any questions about the shirts, just post away. Other than that, Can't wait to see the final product.

-Ash

Sounds good Ash. I was refering to the individuals name for the front of the shirt, but if it's a hassle, no worries. I hadn't thought about the fact that it would require changing the screen.

As for the cars on the back, that shouldn't be too hard to do. Would it make it easier to printif the cars were all one color?

Oh BTW Ash, I've got rear skirt on order. So, the MP3/MSP skirt will be available for you soon and I've still got the Amber fogs for ya.

Lang

i agree on the one color, i like the idea of gray. i can always get my brown later haha. the car things is up to you guys really, i'm more of a fan of just words but it's all good... i'll go with whatever :)

Yeah, Perhaps Later on, we can make a different design for the shirts, and i'll add the names. And as for the cars, it would be easier if the cars were all one color. And Lang, let me know how much you willing to let the rear skirt go for. And thanks for holding the fogs for me. really appreciate it.

No problem Ash. It's the least I can do to return the favor for the hook up you'll be giving the club w/ the shirts. Plus I want to see you turn your ride into the first white MSP replica. What do you need just side skirts and the wing now right?

Chris, any word on when your FD is gonna be on island? I would really love to get it in the shot for the T-shirts if possible.

Well, i'm still debating on whether or not to put the wing on. Because i already have the 3rd brake light in my back window. So i don't know how that would look with the brake light in the wing and the window. But yeah, i just need side skirts afterwards. Hopefully i don't take so long with the conversion, and have someone else out of nowhere with a white msp conversion.

Yeah, you can get the delete plate for the thrid brake light in the window from www.mazdaformance.com or Trussville Mazda. But, your're right it makes the most sense to get the side skirts on and get the basic conversion done and then worry about the spoiler later.

Too bad you don't have 5 lug hubs or I could probably track down my old MSP Racing Harts for ya. Oh and I've still got my Racing Beat exhaust if you want it and my Racing Beat Springs and Teins will be available by November. You know I'll hook you up on price if you want any of that stuff.

Ok, better stop jacking my own threads. lol.

Oh of course guys. I'll be sure to get pics. I still do need the wheel wells and the upper grille, and possibly the lower grille too, to make the front bumper fit. But IDK about future purchases in the next month or so. Another fender bender for me tonight. I made a thread about it in the M-Spec Thread. Read about it there.

dude . . . the gov't is so incompetent . . . i'm thinking of swallowing the 800 and shipping it myself. I'll have it in 4 days, as opposed to over 40 through contractors. it's such a crock . . . let me check if i can get a deal. i may ship is personally because i'm sick of waiting for my girl.

and with my luck, the tugboat dudes will screw me too, along with the turtle bay protestors (just because . . . no real reason they would be involved, but hey)

and thanks for the compliments. that's 4 years work. all i'm waiting on is the 99 spec rear wing and the 99 front end. then i'm gonna roooooolllllllll. it's got some kinda trick work rims on it (mesh style) that are all black with a polished lip.

Oh yeah, I forgot my upper and lower grills will be available soon too.

You getting a new front end? Or you just getting an autoexe grille or something?
I've got the DGM Auto EXE replica just waiting for my rear skirt to get here so I can take all the parts to midnight customs to get painted.

I'm gonna pull the lower grill out and shave out the crossbars and tabs and then have to whole thing repainted. As you might have guessed my FMIC is going in.
