Ok to be more specific I have broken my LSD there fore my car doesn't go and I am wondering if anyone has disassembled the transmission on a MSP

Miles run and mods in your car is abused is from the first MSP or the 3.5?

you check the transmission oil my car eat .75 quart in one year

and all my previous proteges high modify eat 1 quart at year of transmision oil and if you dont check broke 3 gear or destroy 2 or 3 gear(fu) sincrhos

is the same protege transmission with LSD the best is pull apart the tranmision and go to Mazda to repair and you purchase the parts in mazdaformance .com

my LSD went at 12,000 and it was a b**** to get mazda to fix it. But they did!

This may sound like a stupid question... but how do you know when your LSD is out? What are the signs?

lets see... it dont go. Thats the biggest one. It makes horrid grinding sounds when you release the clutch and try to go. and... well... it just dont go.

Question....is it possible for the LSD to "slip"? what I mean is that I am trying to figure out if my clutch is slipping or my LSD is failing.

Not likely, sounds like a clutch.
