Im not sure what to call it but im refering to that black lips on the bottom of our front bumper.

I was just wondering if anyone else has white spots all over theirs. I though it was dirt or something, but when i wash it today it seem as if it is discolored or fading. :wtf: i will post a pic of it tomorrow.

i wonder why it did that?? it looks like s***, i will have to show it to my dealer. thanks

ah yes. windsplitter. now i remember. These spots bother me. I hope my dealer will replace it.

At first i though it looked like overspray from somebody painting. I got nervous b/c my dealer had the car for 1 month earlier.

screw it man take it off, and get ya some black spray paint easy fix. LOL

i was actually thinking of taking it off and fliping it upside down if that side is not spotted. Well if its not under warrenty then i will have to figure something out.

Yeah I have it too. Don't know where they came from. I was thinkin of takin it off and painting it silver. i think I'll do that soon now that I remember it :).

Yup I have it too. Started last year, and now it's noticeable. thankfully my 2003.5 won't have that damn thing.

the other day i bumped into something and the wind splitter might have save some damage. Im taking my car in next monday now so i will know then, also im gonna flip s*** about my bushings. i got new bushings and teflon 3 weeks ago. now im clunking loud as hell. im about to get some urethane ones.

Is it possible it's wax? Sometimes wax won't come out of plastic or rubber unless you use a product like black magic. I have had wax stain window trim/seals and the like so maybe that's the source?

it's funny, I've talked to a few 2003 Mazdaspeed owners, and when we compare the front lip of the 03' Speed (same as the mp3 as we all know) to the front lip of the 2003.5, their all like "ah, I like the lip on ours better, the 2003.5 lip sucks".

Well, we'll see how much you like your front windsplitter when the paint starts coming off like mine.

The only thing it is good for is if you accidently go over a curb or something low, and touch the bottom of the car on it, the windsplitter kinda protects it.

i haven't ahd any problem with mine yet (yet being key word) seems to be the only thing taht works right one my mp3 :(

I got the spots too....doesn't bother me too much though...i took a rock off the side panel which took off some paint so I have to worry about that first.
