today i was drivin home and i see a big black thing bouncing towards me down the road...hit my poor car....loud thud....turns out it hit the lower grill punchin about a 6 inch hole in it... just happy it didnt hit a fog light...any how i decided to just put some black mesh chicken wire stuff in place of it...the thing is i cant figure out how to remove the grill....do i need to take the bumber off?

any help would be great.

The same thing happened to me. A bird must have just wanted to run into my grill.

But the replacement..

Easy. All you have to do is jack the front up allitle for extra room.

Then just remove a couple screws/clips that hold the thing in.

Its about a 20 minute job.

Just say NO to mesh/chicken wire. It'll look like garbage. I hit a big chunk of ice last winter, replaced the grill for something like $20 in 15 minutes or so start to finish.

New Grill from your local dealer is the way to go.....No shipping from Online Mazda parts and Still under $30.....Dont do chicken wire....It just makes you a tool and a fool if you do.

s*** i didnt know it was that cheap...screw mesh...i was gonna do that cause its cheap.
