Low Oil?

Let the car sit about 15 minutes before checking the oil. It can appear to be 1/4-1/2 a quart low depending on the car. If it smokes when you start it up your valve seals are bad

Burning oil is normal for older cars. Especially when it burns oil from the factory due to being a ford made 4cylinder

how many times do i have to say this to people. mazda designs and builds the 1.6 the 1.8 the 2.0 and 2.3 Liter motors and ford uses them in some vehicles. any ford here in the usa with a 2.0 or 2.3l motor is a mazda designed motor however ford may have put it together. the escort/ tracer mazda built the motor. the focus until 2008 ford did. all the protege and 3 models mazda built the motors. mazda also built the motors for the 626/ 6 however ford had a different variant the built for the ford contour and the mercury twin.
