Low Enough??

My buddy's P5(t) with GC coilovers:

Originally, it was incompatible with his crazy driveway, and we had to raise it.

The entrance to the garage. Before, not going to happen:

After removing the CF lip and raising the coilovers, it fits:

Yeah, it's a sweet machine. I'm super-jealous, as I found the car for sale, tried to get the $$ together to buy it for me, and couldn't. My friend had the Midnight P5 in the background of the driveway pic, but wanted something a bit faster, so when I told him about turbo'ed yellow one I couldn't have, he decided to pick it up.

I'm going to help him de-carbon it in a couple of weeks, he's had it for a month and he's been pulled over twice already!

Here's a shot from when a tornado was hitting the next town over!

why is he gonna de carbon it?
that doesnt make any sense, he wants a faster car but hes gonna decarbon it which adds more weight

One day I will spend the money on a MSP lip and it will be worse but I have always had slammed cars so you just get used to creeping in/out of driveways!

who's car is that?

Lee, my tall English friend. He bought it from AutoRage.

Seriously, the weight savings on most carbon parts are not that huge, and you add weight by adding carbon pieces on top of the stock parts like on the mirrors and rear bumper. It's way faster because of the turbo, putting on the stock pieces isn't going to slow it down.

in my city, carbon is magnetic...for cop cars.

Mostly though: ^what he said^

It draws the eye enough just being YELLOW, the added contrast of the carbon has apparently been drawing cops like flies. I for one wouldn't want the carbon just because every ricer in GA would want to line up at every stoplight with me!

well, my p5 is kinda low but not near enough to get in this debate w/ you all.... The P5 has some Tanabe DF210's that are a 2" drop... :( It's my wife's DD and she would drag everywhere if it were any lower. But here's my old DD and it was only 2.5" off the ground... Made it fun getting in the driveway...
