The TSB from last year already mentioned a probable connection to valve stem seals, so I wonder what they're still 'working on'.Mazda is working on the excess oil consumption issue according to the factory. ...
Based on the length of time that's elapsed since of the release of the TSB last year, I've been suspecting for some time that Mazda might just bail out by taking no action at all on this issue. And they seem to be confirming that by suggesting that anything even remotely close to a usage of 1.2 quarts per 1K miles is ok for a nearly new vehicle..... I found the consumption test and if your vehicle doesn't exceed 1,200 miles per quart, you don't have a problem=BS in my opinion. Ed
How much are you burning?I'm still waiting on the "FIX" MAZDA
My 2018 NA barely touches any oil for 3500-4000 miles and its with the thinner 0w20
but its not a Turbo.
