low beams=gone

started my car right before the sun went down and started to drive and noticed that my street was awfully dark. come to realize that both of my headlights stopped working. so i pull over and do some tests. high beams work, parking lights, work, low beams, nada. need inputs bad. i will change the bulbs out tomorrow when i have light to see, will high beams and parking lights work if the bulbs go bad? is it a bad switch? when two bulbs go out at the same time it usually and probably isnt the bulbs? any input will be appreciated, thanks.

maybe someone can verify this, but one when goes out, the other one goes out too because the circuit isn't complete. did it in an old car of mine, dont remember which

it does that if its wired in series, but i'm pretty sure they are wired in parallel

damn i just saw 3 other threads all with the same problem.... you may want to get with those guys and see if you can find any help there.

i posted the same thread in a bunch of different areas of this forum hoping to "catch" all technical knowledge to get the root of the problem, sorry for the confusion. its not the fuses btw

its possible that you all ready had one light out but didnt notice untill the other went out ---
poeple drive alot with one light and dont notice untill told or they see it on a wall or something

buy the projector headlights for our car and that should fix your problem

Try the headlight relay, I'm having headlight problems, but mine are alot weirder, one works fine, the other is only receiving 4volts and thus not working (boom07)

I have the same problem so far iv tried new bulbs and i want and picked up a combo switch from the scrap yard and that didnt work either so i went back and swapped it for another and that one also didnt work so next im going to try the fuses i'll give you all the details within a couple of hours with my results. Is there anything else i should take a look at?
