Losing Boost

This is my situation, maybe someone can lend some advice.

I have a 3.5MSP. I have been noticing a drop in my boost level...it now appears that I'm only hitting 4psi. This is after:

1) I changed the vacuum lines about 6-8 weeks ago. I did not note a loss in boost at that time. I will admit however that the lines behind the motor maybe off by a fraction of an inch. I have two different size silicon hoses and I think think that I may have got a little mixed up when I was cutting and putting them on. They all went on fitting tight and without too much effort. Aswell they are all clamped.

2) Replaced tires 2-3 weeks ago. Pirelli 210 Snowsport 195/60/15. (Lots of fun!)

3) Winter came and has been significantly below zero since I bought the tires...a day before even...I am an occasional procrastinator.(drunk)

I have also noticed a significant increase in gas mileage (which IS much appeciated)...and no, this is not due to speed reduction because of the bad weather

I am just wondering if this is normal or am I going back to the dealership yet again.

oh...no MBC on the car at current time... fuel cut

generally runs at about 5-6 now it is 3-4.

I will check for leaks, but I really doubt that there are any, I was quite careful putting them on (with exception of the slight size discrepency of course:). I was more suspicious of the cold as this was when I first noticed it. Does cold weather do this sort of thing? even after hour long drives?

What kind of boost gauge are you running?

Check to see if the vac line to your gauge is not crimped.

Does the car "feel" slower?

well that is the thing I'm not sure if it really does feel slower, or if I have just become velocitized....I will check that vac line though...it is a distinct possibily...was fitting the pillar about a couple days prior....crossing fingers.

Thanks...

theres a BIG difference when running 3psi vs 6psi.
You may have a leak on the boost gauge line or is hooked up wrong
