ya..... im looking for something newer that requires less work (lower mileage) all of these in my area are beat up and high mileage. im thinking a mazda 3 or 6 but i want a sportier car like a civic si or speed 3 or the like

Better start stripping stuff off of it. If you have an aftermarket stereo I'd take that out, you won't get much for it -- probably less in Texas. I regret not taking the plastic rear bumper guard off my first one.

A super clean all stock Spicy Orange MSP in Dallas with 37K MILES just sold for $7k, you should get an MSP. With some bolt-ons there isn't a naturally aspirated Civic SI out there that could keep up.

No MSPs in Dallas? There are 3 in Austin FS right now, I can guarantee there are more than that in a city 5 times larger.
