Looking to sue Mazda in a class action

STARTING A CLASS ACTION

I’m looking to start a class action against Mazda for their brake system malfunction. I have a 2022 Mazda cx5 with indicators that my parking brake system has malfunctioned, my smart forward city braking system malfunctioned, my forward sensor malfunctioned, and another braking system sensor has malfunctioned. My car is still under warranty but I am looking for others who have this problem or had to pay for this fix. I also had the power steering come on with this issue

This is causing the car to not set the parking brakes correctly. It is also causing the automatically slam its brakes in traffic without a car actually being in front of mine at times. The sensor is deploying emergency brakes for no reason and it is a safety hazard. I also am hearing squeaking of the brakes.

It would be much less expensive for you to get your car fixed than to initiate a lawsuit. You're not going to find many people on this forum to join in with you.

No it’s not cheaper. This is a huge problem and it has affected many people with this car. It costs nothing to get the lawyer in these types of lawsuits

do you have the data to back that up? most issues I have read about are where people don't read the manual and do not know how they work.....show the data

I strongly suggest you start the process. You have my full unequivocal support.

Just 1 thing to remember: If its thrown out, the counter party remember can sue you back for trying to malign their brand. Just a thought.

I would suggest that before you start this process, you first need to determine what's causing the issue, what the fix is, and whether Mazda is covering the repair under warranty.

I think you'd need this information in order to determine exactly what your lawsuit applies to, and what resolution you want Mazda to take. At the moment, it sounds like one or two different problems may be occurring, a sensor issue and brake noise.

I'm not sure you'll find many members here who have had experience with this particular issue, especially because there isn't enough specific information for what is causing the problem and what the fix is or how much it costs. From what I've personally seen in my time on this forum, the emergency braking is usually a result of the driver making assumptions about whether the car ahead, which is making a turn, will clear the lane in time. I have seen one or two cases where the car mistakes oncoming traffic on a curving 2-lane road as a vehicle in front, or a very sunny day causing glare that triggers an error when the sunlight hits the sensor just right, but nothing where the car just suddenly emergency brakes for no apparent reason.

I recommend that you bring the car in so that the dealer can diagnose the issue and repair it. At that point you'll have more specific info, and you can use that additional info to properly poll the community.

Shocker that the OP hasn't come back. LOL. He thinks there are many others with this issue? His post about it is the first I have seen on any Mazda forums.

To be fair, it's been less than a day, and it is possible that they're having this exact issue with their car. With such an unheard of issue in the CX-5, it's much more important that they get as much info as possible before moving forward with a lawsuit.

It also sounds like the front radar sensor is bad. Unplug it, take the car which is under warranty to the dealer and get it fixed.

There was a similar word for word post on the CX50 forum about six months ago.
