who all has stepped up to an ATP big turbo kit? the 3071r or the 3076r kits?

If you have please PM me, i have a few quick questions! Thank you!

i want someone to tell me how the GT35r is on the speed6! ppl only have the gt30r's though :(. i want to get the gt35r, because one day i'll want to use all that huge turbo has to offer. but in the meantime i'd like to get it, and set it at like 17-20psi. til internals, and drivetrain upgrades are more available.

i just can't imagine not spending the $100 dollars, for a turbo i will later regret. and i really will regret the gt30 i know!

this is probably been answer but are you guys running your bigger turbos with engine management? or are you just running them on stock ecu program with other stock parts or do you have to upgrade exhaust, dp, intercooler?

MS6freek and I are running on stock ecu's with no problems. We both are keeping the boost under control, however, mine is set at 17 and his is at 20. I am not exactly all sure what other mods freek is running besides his front mount intercooler, he gets new mods every time I see him.

My other mods are the ATP feul cut defender, Magnaflow 2.5" catback exhaust and HKS SSQV. I am running stock intercooler. Also, I bought the whole kit, so that includes the turbo, dp, intake.

Forgot to add that the only reason why I am running on the stock ecu is because CP-e has not come out with their PNP standback ecu yet, but they are close.

same here , im waiting on a pnp system for the car then ill install it ...

for now i am running with the atp gt3076R kit , front mount intercooler , 3'' DP ,
3'' exhaust , atp fuel cut defender !!!

for the guy who wants the gt35, i would never recommend it on that car, even if stronger parts are available. try the 76R then decide....

im at 20 psi and this turbo is giving its full potential at 25psi and at 20 psi it is already crazy so i cant imagine at 25psi.

gt35 you will get way to much lag , but its your call !!!

with the gt3076R you get full boost at 4k which i find perfect. but more then that i dont know (drive)

it won't lag for what i wanna do with it lol, but yes i understand everyday driving would be lag central. its just one day i think 25+psi would be really great ah haha.

its only supposed to spool another 400-500 rpms later. just seems like a waste to spend the $1600 on the 76r, then one day decide its not enough. and spend another $1700 for the gt35r, cuz i want more boost. then i'd be in it $3300, and still have stock internals.
when i could by the gt35r first $1700(be very conservative with it), and spend that $1600 on internals so i can be mush less conservative with a gt35r.
make sense?

doesnt make sense. because a gt35 over 25psi will need other internals and if you do get the gt35 later you can sell the gt3076R at a good price

well i'm glad to hear all of ya'lls input.

i'm looking to do the 3071r on an ms3 because i decided the 3076r and the 35r spool too late for me and i'd have trouble putting all of the power to the wheels.

have ya'll dyno'd? a/f ratio? done diagnostics to loook for knock and how much timing is being pulled?

CP-E keeps saying the fuel system is whack after about 320whp, but ATP dyno'd theirs at 360whp or so....

???????

fill me in please!

also. did ya'll upgrade the clutch yet?

i'm thinking about running my 3071r on stock clutch until it goes dead, and then replace it down the road. i'm looking at the spec stage 2+ since it still has a street feel to it.

LMK

Thats what I plan on doing as well. I just got a new clutch per the TSB so hopefully it will hold up for a while.
You guys have replaced your turbos and are waiting on PnP for the CPE Standback? WTF. Wiring it in takes 2+ hours.
Lol, I have given myself s*** about this, but one of the main reasons is because I did not have enough money when the standback came out. Now that I have been working and saving enough I figure why not wait another month or two and save having to re-wire everything.

i might just get the one you wire in because first off $200 extra for plug and play seems steep but thats just me and second how hard can it be to use wiretaps unless it has to be done differently.

Look at my post in the ECU/TUNING issues section. It's one of the ones at the top.

Did you have the turbo before the EMS? I'm thinking about the 3071 as well any comments back about it are appreciated.

The first time I installed my turbo, I did not have the EMS, I also ran it with the stock airbox initially.

I like the 3071R, and honestly, I think it's the better solution at the moment as this car has a fueling problem anyway.
