it's the headers (unequal length) on the wrx that give it the rumble. listen to a wrx with equal length headers and it sounds like any other car.

I've got a racing beat exhaust from an 03.5 msp (possibly selling in the near near future) that sounded awesome. Nice deep tone. Couple that with an OBX 4-1 header (also possibly selling in the near future) and you've got a sick sounding ride.

I like the OBX into Magnaflow cat-back for a good mild tone. But the drone really sets in above 65 or so. But maybe you'd save on tickets...

Not to hijack this thread, but what exhaust (if any avavailable) to get the P5 to sound more like the current Civic Si? I've always liked the way those sound, for a 4 banger of course (flame2) .

There are SO many threads on this topic it isn't funny. I almost didn't want to post at first. The main thing to watch out for in P5 exhausts is the drone at highway speeds. Can be extremely annoying, and don't let people try to convince you otherwise.

I had a Greddy Evo2 catback and the MAM mid pipe on mine and it sounded AWESOME!!!! Closest thing to the WRX in my opinion. I wish I had some sounds bits of it, but I dont.

first off, why would u want sound like something else? Just go buy that car then lol. Wouldn't you rather have the p5 sound like something completely different? That being said...Racing Beat!!!!

I like they way my HKS Hi-Power looks and sounds. Dont mind the sound of the exhaust hitting the rear bumper because of the bodykit. It comes with silencer but it sounds soft when idling.
