Looking at P5's. Leather or cloth interior?

The leather, I feel, just gives it a refined edge ... I feel as if I'm sitting in my Dad's M3. Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration ... but I'm sure you get my drift. :D

leather will be great with p5 have heated seat, if not
leather is still pretty good but cloth is not bad too
just choose the one you want, for me i would go for leather since u won't change to other seat.

I think the last time i checked on katzkin.com you can get the heaters installed at the time you get the leathers, if they are put on after delivery to the dealer, which i think they are, i could be wrong though. I was thinking about leather in mine, 500 bucks aint too bad for all leather, including the doors, its just the other 5-600 bux for the install i wasnt crazy about.

Yeah, you can buy the seat heaters seperate too...but I'm not crazy about the install...and where would you put the controls?

If I had to do it over again, I would get the leather. How can you argue with those pics. My wifes Expedition has leather seats and so has our last 3 vehicles and I never found myself slip...maybe 'cause i'm a fat ass.:D

I have to admit that you do slip around the leather seats a little during hard cornering. But I feel that the looks outway that small problem.

Now when I start autocrossing... I may have change the driver seat (during the events) or get a seat cover or something.

Either which way, I don't regret leather one bit.

As for the too cold or too hot deal... I live in St. Louis where it gets butt ass hot in the summer and butt ass cold in the winter. But... I have a remote starter installed, so by the time i get in, its the perfect temp all year round.

What the **** is up with that line? I've got it too. :wtf:

Thanks again for the replies and especially the pics. The leather looks nice. Think I'll add that to my list of desired options. My local dealer has one in stock with the exact options I want. I'll head there this weekend and see what they can do.

My girl TOTALLY regrest not getting leather on her Jetta, it is like a cordaroy (SP) lint trap! She didn't want leather cuz' it is unfriendly for the women when they wear a skirt. Well she better where pants once I get my P5, cuz' I am sick of this cheap A$$ chevrolet cloth I have now.

I chose leather...leather is the way to go...the pattern on the p5 cloth is not appealing to me...that is just my opinion. and as for the hot in the summer and cold in the winter...my remote start handles those problems for me. So I vote for leather and add a remote start!!!!

Black cloth / Black Leather... they're both gonna heat up the car just as much in the summer, so go with comfort for the other 3 seasons and tough it out during the summer.

I just test drove a P5 this weekend with leather and it wasn't hot or sticky at all! It was in the 80's in LA Wednesday and I was very comfortable. I am deffinately going to get leather. Oh and very pissed that my truck hasn't sold yet because they had the exact car I want for a killer price. White/leather/sunroof/6discCD/cruise controll marked down from 19,500 to 18,500 and down to 17,500 DAMNNNNNN

17500 is pretty good, I paid 17667 for mine (minus the 500 student discount), the options are listed below.

Leather all the way! I wish they had leather as an option the year I bought my MP5. Cloth bites. My Ws6 has leather, and my Miata has leather...but nooooooooo they didn't have it as an option on my Protege5.

checked out mazda.ca to see what they had for the leather seats. seems ours come with seat warmers which is cool. too bad the seats are packaged with new wheels. $1500
