well i stopped by my local dealership to order a few parts. i went into the parts dept and told the guy i had a 2001 mp3. he looked at me funny and said "what is that". i said it was a limited edition protege and then he goes "oh, u mean the msp" lol. i said no, that was from 2003 mine is 2001. he then said i was gonna have to show him my car to see what i have. went outside, showed him, then he says "i've never seen or heard of these before"

unless he worked at a Mazda dealership back since 2001 i wouldnt be surprised...

last time I was at the dealership, the service department manager was asking me where I bought the wing from. I just laughed....

Out of the 2 places I've been here in Colorado, not one of them knew what the MP3 is. So, I suppose it makes sense to jack up the prices on parts for cars they know nothing about.

oh the many times i got the "wtf?!?!" face from those douchebags when i asked about a msp or a mp3....atleast when u asked about the mp3 they didn't start asking about what type of music you liked

that is why i don't go to the mazda dealer. straight up retardness (no offense to anybody who works there of family member, you guys are fine)

2 weeks ago I went to the dealer to order some touch-up paint. I said I wanted to order the paint for my Mazda MP3. He looked confused and asked me if I wanted paint for the radio bezell (??? do they even have paint for the radio bezell??). Later I showed him the car, and he supposedly ordered it. But I didnt get any receipt, cause he said to pay when I pick it up, and still havent received a phone call. I am begining to think he didnt even order it, since he maybe didnt know what color to get.

Even better if they say why you bring a Subaru to a Mazda dealership. LOL
Many people thought I'm driving a Subaru

Gateway Mazda in Aurora is where I bought my car and they know alot about the MP3 and the MSP. I was suprised since they are such a same dealership.

1st time i took my mp3 to a dealer a few years back even the sales douche had no idea what i was driving when i pulled up. confused the crap out of him. freakin idiots.

the guy at the dealership bragged to me about how mazda was really cool to include the racing beat exhaust on my P5 from the factory. He gave me a puzzled look when I told him it was aftermarket... lol

lol when i first got my car my frined was like DUDE WHEN DID U GET A WRX STI i said your dumb....

1st time I went to a local mazda dealership I revved the engine to about 3G (which has a fairly audible grr sound to it with my car) just to quickly get across the foot-ball field legnth to the parts building. First words out of the secretary's mouth when I walked in:
"is that your civic?" I guessed at the time that she didn't acutaly see my car, but only heard it. At least, that's what I hoped.. I'm not sure I could have controlled my self if it were any other situation.

I kinda just put on a (ughdance) face and told her it was acutaly a protege. To which she replied: " ohh dear, sounds like you'll need to service it soon then, that dosen't sound like a protege at all "

I don't really blame her though.. the ratio of 3" exhaust equiped CRX/civics to protege's where I live is like.. 500:1

The funny thing about this is that the dealer I went to is a dealer for mazda, mercuy, and subaru. But have gotten no comments about being a subaru from the dealer, unlike from many other people.
