Locking doors while engine is running

For reference I have a 2011 GT. My dealer will not install a remote start. They said they had too many problems with them interfering with the keyless ignition. So, since it's winter I like to start my car for a few minutes and let it warm up and come back inside. So I take the fob out with me and start the car. I obviously take the fob back inside with me and not leave it in the car. When I walk away, it does the beeping thing, and will not let me lock the doors while it's running. Is there anyway to change this, or maybe there is a trick to locking it.

Thanks

Use the second key to manually lock the door..

It's supposed to help dumbasses from locking themselves out of the car with it running..

By manually having to enter the key, the car knows that you have at least one key outside... and thus can unlock.

while you still inside, lock all the doors with the central lock,
open your door and get out, and manually lock it with the metal key

Are you trying to have the Mazda factory remote starter put in or an aftermarket brand? If it's the Mazda RS, I don't see how they can say it won't work right. It's an OEM accessory that will be covered under their warranty. I have a 2010 with the advanced keyless remote and the RS and it works (most of the time). Sometimes in the morning it won't run the complete 10 minutes; still trying to figure that one out.

That will not work..

If the engine is running... and you "Lock" with the button, they unlock again...

Exactly what I thought. I wanted to finance it in, since I had zero percent, but they said that they wouldn't touch them as they always caused problems.
