Local Car Meet March 21st (a Sunday).

A local 240SX club is holding a meet and cruise in the Boston area on the 21st. I asked and they said all are welcome. They actually like the Rx-8's and the Mazda's so if anything they are more car guys than 240 guys if you catch my drift.

The meet is in Brighton near the gas station of the meet I put on 2 years ago believe it or not.

Toan and I have been throwing around the idea of more frequent meets so I decided I am going to throw out the idea for a spring meet. I was hoping that if the idea is put out there early enough, it can be a big opening of the season deal, ya know? I was personally shooting for mid-March so everyone who isn't ballsy enough (like myself) to daily their car in the winter, has time to get the ball rolling and have the car road worthy. Grilling, chilling, photos, rolling shots, cruise. The whole schbiel. Hopefully this gets the ideas flowing and a bunch of people don't fail/ bail like myself. Input?

If you could bring something, that would be sweet. Cups, burgers, hotdogs, buns, grill, condiments, table, plates, anything really. Whatever you can think of. Doesn't have to be pricey. Just a little something something. Ya digg?

I'm going to say, depending on the weather, THE THIRD SUNDAY OF MARCH. THIS IS THE 21'ST at Cristian A. Herter Park, 1400 Soldiers Field Road, Brighton, MA‎ , at 11 AM. Look here- http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&re...-8&sa=N&tab=wl The parking lot is large enough to accommodate a good amount of cars, and should be a good place to grill. Easy to get to also. If weather is poor, this will go down the following Sunday.

People attending are representing us as a group also, so please, don't drive like a complete dick at the location we meet up at. Yes, your car is RWD. You don't have to drift and do burnouts around the parking lot to prove it. The scene already has a miserable name as it is. We don't want any unnecessary attention. Just had to put it out there. I AM that guy. And to add to that there's a Mass State Police station down the road. Sometimes they even park inside the very same parking lot we will be at to catch people speeding on Soldiers Field Road. Mass Staties do not play I **** you not. Do yourself and everyone a favor and handle yourself in a manner fitting that of a mature car owner.

I am just on the other side of Soldiers Field so I might stop by.I'm all set on the cruise though. I do that enough during the week to get to work, no need to do it on a weekend too.

Yeah I hear that. I'll be going but nixing the cruise aspect of it all. There seems to be alot of people going and yeah last thing I want is to have to pull out my brothers card to get me out of a ticket or something ><!

I did end up walking through the meet today. it was somewhat scattered but there seemed to be a good amount of cars there. I'm not really familiar with the Nissans so i don't know what to tell you about the cars that were there. The cars were mixed in with people parking to use the park but there were a bunch of cars with their hoods up. I did notice one gray rx-8 with an aftermarket spoiler on it. Don't know if it was anyone here.

We tried to only take up the far left of the parkinglot since when we showed up everyone was parked to the right of the lot. We had alot of 240SX's a few honda's, several 350ZX and one 370ZX. Also had a GT-R daily driver show up!

The drive didnt happen till well after I left. Was great though, everyone was nice and just loved to talk about cars and such. Several people who were walking with their kids ended up walking up and down the lanes looking at the cars with their family I think the best was seeing a elderly couple who stopped by. The wife walked torwards the cars and stopped to wave at the husband to get his butt in gear, he shook his head with that look of "Their young kid hoodlums" the wife shook her head and said "I'm going..." and she started to look at the cars.

oh, okay...thought you were talking about people my aga!!!

ya, go for it...i was trying to pull something together for the fall on rte 100, 2 day trip...but a one day might be better for most, no hotel stay!
