i don't know if this has been posted but when you guys got you lips (dgm) the urethane one how many here painted themselves or got it professional painted if anyone has done it themselves what are the methods and products need to accomplish this thank you. Shops are charging me around 160-200 dollars more than the cost for the lip itself sh#$#t

I always say, big things like lips need to be painted by professionals. It may cost more, but it's going to look better and you don't have to worry about screwing it up yourself and having to get a professional to fix it.

i paid like 100 to get mine painted. i saw a dg lip all ghetto painted at home and it looked like s***! unless you have a booth and know what you are doing i would reccomed having somebody else do it!
it is a blg flat space in the front of your car so and screw up will be very noticable!!
plus if will not look right at all if the colors dont match between the front bumper and the lip!!

jeesh where exactly did you go i got the dgm front lip and the say 166-200 to be painted profesionally

If they are telling you twice the price of the lip to get it painted you are getting hosed. I agree with getting it done with professionals, but play the market, go around and see who will do it for what and who is flexible on their prices. Also check for coupons in the paper. I know it sounds stupid but this place by my house in atlanta always has 20% off coupons....I think they are called Spray-Glo or Auto-Glo or something like that. When I was looking into the lip they told me 130-160$ depending on how many cotes of clear i wanted.
