Limited Slip Questions

Hi,
I'm brand new here, but I searched on "differential" and didn't find anything recent or conclusive as to upgrading a 3 with a 5 speed to a Quaife (or other) LSD.

I really like my 3, but it's horrible in anything but dry weather, and the thought of my first winter in it is cause for concern.

I will probably wind up buying snow tires, but I'd really like info on an LSD.

1. Has anybody done it?
2. Any recommendations for installers in Massachusetts area?
3. Why do the prices for Quaife LSDs for different front wheel drive cars vary so much (approx. $900-$1800)!?
4. Why does Mazda Motorsports deal with members only? Liability?
5. What are the chances of using the Speed 3's LSD? I assume this would have to be bought from the dealer, because I haven't found a way to purchase directly from GKN.

I know of only one who's done the LSD. PM chibana.
