Lights (All of em)

For the last hour or so, I've been sitting here reading all the posts about lights; and for the life of me I can't find anything concreate.

Some people want Carbon Fiber Altezza taillights, others want to remove the amber reflector from the headlights, etc.

The only question I have is what does all this look like when its done? Lots of people are saying they are doing it, but can they please have a picture somewhere so the rest of us can see if we want to spend our time and money on it?

How about listing some part numbers and costs? The only lights I would change are the tail lights even those aren't that bad looking.

snype, the CLEAR CORNERS which are removing the amber from your turn signals on the front can only be accomplished for a 3rd gen by removing the housing...disassembling it and manually removing the amber part....then they would look similar to the front of the P-5.....

as far as the tails....omg leave them alone!! stick with the stockers....Altenzza's have been WAY over done.

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with any of the lights on our cars....I've never really understood people's obsession with changing all their lights. The only one that's a little bit arguable is HIDs...and even those I still consider pretty much for show unless you do a lot of highway driving.

A couple of weeks ago, I read a newspaper article that talks about a study of car accidents. Surprisingly, the researchers have found a positive correlation between HID & cause for car accidents because HID is too bright ...

Well, don't always believe what you read. The press isn't exactly known for it's accuracy. I haven't yet heard anything from the government or insurance companies. If there really was a reason to be concerned, the car insurance companies would have researched it and voiced their results.

As for the stock headlamps on the MP3 or ES's, I say stick with the factory pieces and upgrade the bulbs. The only thing I have planned for my tail lamps is to upgrade to LED bulbs. I'm trying to get my hands on the factory 2002.5 P5 clear side markers. HID's are nice looking, but I just can't validate spending that kind of money on lighting......Yet:D
