So I've been thinking- my P5 falls flat on its face under WOT with the A/C on like everyone else's, and now that it's getting warm, I'm using the A/C more (especially when my wife is in the car). I'm planning on underdriving my crank at some point in the future, and that's what got me thinking...is there any way to get a lightened or underdriven pulley for the A/C compressor? I've looked on ProtegeGarage, StreatUnit and Corksport, and I only see powersteering, alternator, water and crank pulleys. I looked at my A/C pulley tonight and it looks like it comes off the compressor, and I figured that a lightened and/or underdriven pulley would make the A/C draw less, thus minimizing the effect during WOT. Has anyone looked into making these? I would think there would be a big market, especially for guys in the south that use their A/C constantly.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
