Light color dash mat?

Anyone know of a light color dash mat? I want some thing that isn't going to get hot in the sun. Not looking to tint the windshield.

To protect the dashboard from sun/heat, I use a black mat that is polyester/felt which doesn't get hot in the sun. I don't think I saw a light color mat because I would have preferred that. Try to search for "dashboard cover." I saw a light grey one for a Scion but otherwise they're all black.

The heatshield (sunshade) noted above will keep the interior cool when the car is parked.

I had UV tint on my first and second windshield. After the third replacement I decided not to tint any more. I now have 10w solar panels affixed to the top of the windshield behind the visors. That way when I swing the visor out to shield the sun from the side, I still am protected in the front. They are a bit wider than the visor. I am short though, so my face is still clearly visible for law enforcement purposes. If I get pulled over, I can remove them easily.

Did you mean ceramic?
Ceramic sounds expensive. 😱 I asked for legal tint on the windshield, so the shop gave me a film that is barely detectable. Paid around $150. The other windows were tinted soon after I bought the car, only the windshield kept getting busted. I am due for another replacement, the current one has a crack from last year that is held together by DIY resin.

Yeah. Ceramic is what you want to reject heat. I don't think UV will do much if the glass already blocks most of it. A ceramic film at 70% VLT is hardly noticeable but you can feel the difference.
