Light Bulb Problem!

Hey Everyone!

I have two light bulbs out and I cannot figure out what the sizes of them are! I know I probably sound dumb, but I'm trying to learn how to do this all myself, without having to rely on the dealer or a mechanic. I am looking for the size of the bulb that illuminates the glove box. Which is a light I didn't even know I had until I was cleaning it out, and looked up. Also, the light bulb that illuminates the place where the key goes into the ignition. I recently purchased the car from an elderly couple who evidently did not care if all the bulbs lit up. I already changed the shifter bulb, and the bulb behind the cigarette light. I am hoping that's all I have to worry about... Thank you all to those who help :)

Not a dumb question. Mazda manuals don't list the illumination bulb types. I don't know what type
bulbs are used. I think both lights you need would be like the one for your cigarette lighter. You
do know the glove box light doesn't illuminate unless the main light switch is turned on?

The big problem with both lights you need is they aren't easy to replace. Both lights require
kick panel removal and removal of dash parts, glove box removal. You have to be careful not
to damage the parts that have to be removed.

If you don't have a repair manual I believe Haynes has a Mazda 3 repair manual. It should
be available at you local auto supply chain store for $25-$30. Factory manuals are expensive
but sometimes can be found on eBay.

Hope this information helps. 4 bad light bulbs in one car, I have owned about 30 Japanese cars
over many years and I cannot remember having to replace any small bulbs.

Hey, thanks Clifton! I actually replaced all the bulbs. I found the bulbs for the cigarette lighter, and the cigarette bud compartment actually wound up being the same small separate bulb(194). I found them at Auto Zone. Then for the glove box I found the bulb at Auto Zone again, its 7443 I believe. Thank you so much for your help!!
