ok call me stupid (which i am) but how do you install the stock front license plate frame??? i've been sitting here for half an hour trying to figure it out. i don't wanna drill anything yet until i know for sure what goes where. they gave me 4 bolts, two sharp tipped (gold) and two flat tipped (black). please help if anyone knows how

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't do it dude.Just put the screwdriver down and SLOWLY back away from the car.DO IT NOW OR I SWEAR I'LL SHOOT!

Do you really want your front license plate drilled into your bumper?? are you saying there aren't any holes yet?

well there are holes, just like the ones in your pic. and yes i do want it mounted. last thing i need is a ticket (which the cops WILL give). so how do i install?

the gold screws screw the big, thick plastic frame onto the car, then you stick the license plate on top of the big frame, then the license plate/dealership frame, then the black flat-tipped screws.
I don't have mine on, so I'm just going off of what i see sitting on my workbench. I'm pretty sure all would have the same type of set up.

the black screws don't fit...well i mean you could force them but wouldn't you need some type of screw to create the grooves in the plastic first?

Sorry, I'm trying...:) On mine, the gold screws screw through the bigger, thick license plate bracket(there is an area sunk in from the rest of the bracket, with a hole on either side), mounting that to the car. Next, you slip the licnese plate into the slots on the bottom of the bracket. these will keep your license plate from falling off. Line up the holes that are on the top of your license plate with the holes on the bracket, right behind them. Next, place the dealer license plate frame over the license plate. Using the two extra screws(black), screw the dealer frame onto the license plate by using those top holes. My big black bracket is pre-threaded. Maybe you are supposed to "gently force" the screws in there to keep it firmly secured. The bottom of the dealer frame hangs loosely. It looks like s*** though...thats why i took it off:)

hmm....guess i'll look at those holes again for the thread. and maybe i'll use good lighting this time.

thanks
