License plate bracket... any options?

are there any other options out there to replace the OEM brackets? i absolutely hate the OEM brackets... and i've looked at various auto parts stores and can not find anything that has the non-standard mounting width that our P5's have...

i've also tried fitting standard brackets over the OEM brackets and they do not fit properly and therefore looks even worse...

anybody have any solutions other than plugging the old holes and drilling new ones?
