liberals get a pat on the back for this....

Awesome! Shows how absolutely uninformed these "protestors" are. These people just read the NYT and other liberal only points of view. These people should actually read and learn more about Sadaam, his atrocities and the useless UN.

i think these ppl should pick up a book and do some reading before they march out in the streets, looking like morons.

I love the phrase "No blood for oil"

Ok genius. Stop driving, stop buying anything ever transported by any form of combustion engine on it's way to your dumbass, stop buying plastic, stop using plastic in your home, and on and on and on............

while I seem to be in the minority here...

isn't it sad that while Michael Moore does the same thing and is denounced for only using parts of interviews and different quotes by conservatives everywhere. then someone goes to an anti-war rally and speaks to a bunch of non-native english speakers (accents) and gets partial answers to complex questions then its funny how stupid "liberals" are...

at least those people (for whatever reason) were doing something and standing up for a cause they believed in. while they didn't have the answers to the questions, they at least stood up against something they "know" isn't the right way?

those interviews were the even-lower-budget, ghetto version of a michael moore film.

wow...thats y i hate liberals

that just makes me pity everyone who is able to dismiss a large group of people. everyone has their opinions and since no one has the absolute answer, it only makes sense to listen to what they have to say and try to compare it against your views and take what you will from the experience...

but when a large group of people ignorantly but vehemently opposes something on "moral ground" while making stupid connections such as going to war for the oil etc, and protests the war without giving any feasible options that havent already been tried and found not to work then yes, i do make a sweeping, general statement. The liberals in our country while trying to help only impeed justice, and cause rapist, and criminals back into the system domestically, and allow terrorists that we could catch if given the ability to go about our buisness with the same purpose and discretion as those who attack us, our institutions and our allies.

I have no problem with a liberal that can stand their ground and defend their postition in real debate. These are not real liberals. These are over privaledged little assclowns that accept ANYTHING a teacher tells them. After all, the only thing they know is the inside of a classrooms.

They have no original thought or indepth analitical skills to figure out that their arguments have not only no basis but no chance of EVER being taken seriously.

The only reason I pay taxes is so that the police have funds to tear gas these little creatins.

but the way that things are being done, while helping a little bit, are infringing upon our freedoms more than a terrorist ever could. our relations with other countries are at their worst point since the isolationist ("head up your ass while the world is on the verge of burning around you") tactics of the early 20th century. the war in iraq could've been handled a million different ways that weren't explored. for example:

perhaps next time when the power that you are about to attack attempts to open negotiation lines, perhaps you shouldn't turn them away.
or maybe when you hold a last hour "everyone who has an alternative" meeting, maybe we shouldn't hold it on a remote island and only invite the three countries in the world that saw everything just like us...
maybe those are valid options... (scratch)

but president doofy believes that "moral ground" is what this country needs ala "Faith Based Initiatives"...

You can make it even easier then that.
State one single other option that was not already attempted and explain how it would have ANY chance for success.

Heres a hint.....there isn't one.

Why do people believe that morals must be religiously based?
Never have I heard the president mention that we should be more religiously faithful, although I would agree with him if he did. The out right and open assult on all those that dare have faith in a god is sickening.

when having "good" foreign relations with certain nations compromises your national integrity, then you do whats best for your nation. In what way have your freedoms been infringed upon in real life? so a couple of terrorist looking people have been kept off of certain flights, so arrested foreign nationals are detained for slightly longer periods of time...so what, this is helping keep us safer...i fly frequently, and I would rather not die on my next flight. Also, have you been following the news? they just found mortar shells full of chemical agents. o, and have you read up on what saddam has done to his people? and maybe war wasnt the best way, but it worked, with minimal loss of lives and equipment, and now we have a large force in the middle east as a deterent to other nations that decide to do something stupid. o, and weve got saddam, slowly but surely things in iraq are improving greatly, and the attacks in iraq arent from iraqis predominantly, they are from TCN (third country nationals) mainly lebonese and syrians...the iraqi's are actually generally grateful for us coming. O, and before you mention the economy, Bush is inhereting problems that Clinton swept under the rug. The 90's was a time of over rated stocks, doctored books, and him sleeping with everyone and giving away nuclear secrets.

he means moral ground as in faith, not moral ground as in cowardice

how about putting real pressure via NATO on Saddam or perhaps do what we are doing with the North Koreans; find a true partner in the region that stands to benefit from a stable Iraq ala Saudi Arabia. the Saudis were not at risk of invasion from Saddam and need the support of the US. Saddam was a survivor, faced with the true, realistic threat he would've backed down (like he tried to do through channels at the State Dept. and was turned away by the administration).

just to finish up; thank goodness for the Dutch, at least they found something that was close to a biological weapon before they pull out (the US pulled the 400-man search team about two weeks ago)...
