*marks down the 12th on calender* now i can ask a crap load of questions and touch everything!!! hahaha!

though i'll probably borrow a jack for 5 min and swap to winter wheels, that's all for my car! the rest all you buddy!

Kevin, I'm sure if you do that enough during that weekend, you may find my breaker bar wrapped around your neck...

^^^ Hahahaha! Dayum... (edit, ninja'ed by Wes. Lolz were for Phens comment)

Jon, I'm talking like 6-7 years later down the road for the FC. I want to stick with the Mazda family and don't really want a Miata (no offense, Miata guys) and I love the way FC's look. I wanted to buy Kevin's FC since it was just sooooo bloody clean but it wasn't in the cards at the time. Who knows. Just thinking out loud.

ps- AJ or Cres or a Protege mod, can you please move this build thread to the "Protege5 lounge" area please? I feel like a douche when it keeps getting bumped up in the normal Protege5 section. Thanks! :)

If it's that many years down the road for the FC, you could do some kind of screamin Skyactive V6 or something. Otherwise, I vote 3- or 4-rotor!

Oops lol it was already moved... Haha. And if it has rx in the name, it better be a rotary. I vote 2 mated 13 bs

Yeah... have fun finding an eccentric shaft and fuel management system for that...

By that time, you'll have a full sponsorship from Mazdaspeed or something, and you can do whatever you want.

That would be a 4 rotor :p

lol yes i understand. but he said cost was an issue and to clear up any misunderstanding i meant 2 13bs instead of an r26b hahahhahaahahaa. a couple 13b's should not be expensive. theres about 7 at my local junk yard.

You still need the rebuild kit (sitting is the worst thing you can have a rotary do), which even for a 20b is like 6k from Atkins Rotary, best I remember. And then you still need the custom e-shaft, so yes, there's definitely some big money involved, but it's still baller as balls.

Actually, you'll need two 13B's and an additional intermediate iron (engine will have two oil filler necks). Chuck the extra front/rear irons, custom e-shaft ($$$), custom oil pan, etc. I also bet all the RX-7 at your local junk yard are N/A's. I wouldn't use their irons in a 4-rotor build.

That being said, care to look for some interior parts for me?

Ha yeah sure. Pm me with your phone number and ill tru
to head out there this weekend.

4-rotor e-shafts and a couple other things can be bought from a company in AUS or New Zealand, I believe...but they are 10's of thousands of dollars..

Saw this pic and thought of my car and harnesses. lulz. There is a potential group buy on ProbeTalk right now for a PNPMS for ~$800. But it's for the OBD1 guys. Boo. But I'll keep checking in. :)

Are you going MS2 or MS3? Don't forget I have a friend, Peter Florence in Virgina Beach who is an MS guru, so we have a good credible resource to go to. Not just a forum joker who thinks he knows s***.

I would get on PT and talk to Shaodome (Jordan) about the MS setup. He will fly in, do the wiring, and dyno tune the car for you and show you how it all works. He has done MS1-3/3x in all types of cars, but he started with his boosted Mx6 probably 6 years ago now..maybe longer.
